A Potpourri of Vestiges Feature
Kangana Ranaut, who recently won her second consecutive National Award for Tanu Weds Manu Returns, is set to play a housekeeper in Hansal Mehta's upcoming film Simran. Kangana has always been known for her diversity. While she played a goon turned politician in Revolver Rani, in Vishal Bhardwaj's upcoming WWII film Rangoon, she will be playing a dancer. In Tanu Weds Manu Returns, she impressed everybody by playing a Haryanvi athlete to a tee. Given her recent run of form, the expectations are already skyrocketing. And now that Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh has unveiled her new look in Simran, Kangana's fans have every reason to go berserk.

In the poster, Kangana is seen dressed as a housekeeper, wearing an apron and a removable collar. Simran is story of an ambitious girl who gets sucked in the world of crime. According to reports, Kangana's character in the film is inspired by an NRI nurse in the US named Sandeep Kaur who was imprisoned last year for robbing banks.
Simran, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Shailesh Singh, is expected to go on floors in August. The shooting will take place in the US. According to Mehta, maker of films like Aligarh and City Lights, Simran would be quite different from his previous films. The film is said to be fun-filled.
