The popular pair of Aashiqui 2, Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy, were in Delhi to promote their upcoming film, Ok Jaanu. The official remake of the Mani Ratnam film O Kadhal Kanmani, Ok Jaanu is directed by Shaad Ali. Ali, who had started his career as an assistant director to Ratnam on Dil Se.., has previously directed films like Saathiya (2002) and Bunty Aur Babli (2005). Ok Jaanu also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson in supporting roles.

Shraddha and Aditya were both very excited to be in the capital during the winter season which allowed them the opportunity to put on some fab winter wear. While answering to a question about the change they noticed in each other after Ashiqui 2, Aditya replied: "Shraddha has become very busy. She has done more films than me. So, that's the only change in time that I noticed".

Shraddha, on the other hand cheekily said: "There's not much change in him, except his hair". Shraddha also shared how excited she was to do a rendition of "Hamma Hamma" for Ok Jaanu. She said that as a girl "she would dance to the classic A.R. Rehman number front of the mirror". "We cannot recreate the magic which the original song did but we tried our best... I am really glad that people are liking the song," Sharaddha added.

On being asked about their experience of working with Mani Ratnam, both Aditya and Shraddha confessed that they haven't yet got the opportunity to interact with the legendary Tamil filmmaker and they they are due to meet him very soon.

Both Shraddha and Aditya have had a tough time at the box-office. While Aditya's last film Fitoor bombed at the box-office, Shraddha's Rock On 2 was a victim of the cash crunch triggered by the demonetization crisis. Both of them dearly need a hit to break the lull.

The trailer and songs of Ok Jaanu have been receiving praise from one and all. The controversy surrounding the Censor Board's instructions to the makers to delete all references to Mahatma Gandhi in the film have only added to the buzz. Now, it remains to be seen if the film can live up to the expectations.

Ok Jaanu is releasing on 13th January 2017.
