A Potpourri of Vestiges Feature
The fifth edition of
the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) organized by RIFF Film
Club will be organized from January 19 to 23, 2019 in the city's Inox Insignia,
GT Central Mall, Jaipur. The theme of this year's festival will be "The
Mahatma On Celluloid".
The founder of
Rajasthan International Film Festival, Somendra Harsh, said that in the 5th
edition of RIFF where Tunisia, China, Iran, Israel , Syria & France
are the focus countries of RIFF 2019 . Apart from this, 25 Awarded films of
10 different countries will be screened in this five-day
event. Film screening, seminar, workshop, knowledge series, film market will be
also organized. The event will be screening feature films, short films,
documentary films and animation films. On the last day of the festival, RIFF
Award Night 2019 will be held on January 23 in which the best film artists will
be honored.
Films like Tunisia's feature film Benzene, directed
by Sarah Abidi, Zyang Yang's directed China's feature film Paths
of the Soul, Chang Pu Soi's directed China's feature film The
Money King-2 , Chinese documentary film Shaolin Kung Fu
Monks directed by Duffy Wang, Kiumarspoor Ahmed's Directed Iran's
Feature Film Where are My Shoes, Katyusha film
directed by Ali Atshani, Iranian short film The Castle directed
by Saba Ghasemi, Israel's feature film Saving Neta - Broken Wings Directed
by Niebergman, Israel's documentary film Family Typewriter Directed
by Hannah Anzi, Ori Aharo's directed Israel short film Rubber Dolphin, Noa Chan's, Ronnie
Asharnijki's, Yuliaijwat's directed Israel's animation film Cathriel.
Jonathan Hashiloni's directed Roach and Effortt Chan's
directed Two Of Every Kind, Syrian feature film Rain of
Homs directed by Jode Said, France's feature film Barbara directed
by Mathew Amalrik, La Dolleur directed by Emmanul
Fankia, Louis
Barche's directed France short film Goliath, Benoit Martin's
directed La Convention De Geneve & Julie Gourdain’s directed Un
Grand Silence will be screened in RIFF 2019 under Focus Country's
Films.
Films of Film Division which are honored by the
Government of India which includes Amar Kaushik's and Raj Kumar Gupta's directed
film The Grandfather (Abba), South Korean short
film My Turn directed by Nakuyung Kim and Sonsang, documentary
student film Whithering House directed by Shreyas Dasharathe
and Animation film The Basket directed by Suresh Eriot and
Neelima Eriot will also screen in 5th Edition of RIFF .
This
year the festival will be organized on the Theme "The Mahatma On
Celluloid". Therefore the film based on the theme The Making of
Mahatma, directed by Shyam Benegal starring Rajit Kapur will be
also screening in RIFF 2019
In
the special category of Rajasthani films, films released in the year 2018
i.e. Mahro Ram Rahim directed by M.A Qureshi and Mosar directed
film Anil Saini will be screened in RIFF 2019
