A Potpourri of Vestiges Feature
We are delighted to share with you that A Potpourri of Vestiges has crossed another major milestone. Today, we have gone past 4.4 million hits on the blog. It has taken us just over 7 years to achieve this. The award-winning movie blog which is regularly acknowledged as a top movie blog in the world (as per Alexa and others) is run independently without any corporate support whatsoever. Till date we continue to receive offers from prospectors interested in buying us out but we have successfully averted the temptation thus far. The most important thing for us is to write on cinema independently and that's what we have been striving to achieve for years now. Other than a strong focus on the world of entertainment, we have tried us best to support independent cinema and indie artists and hope to continue doing it in the future as well with even greater vigor.
In the month of December last year our editor-in-chief Murtaza Ali Khan (Twitter Handle: @apotofvestiges) met a severe road accident which caused a temporary slow down to the blog. But now that he has recovered we are trying to get back to our regular routine. Also, we would like to take this opportunity to encourage volunteers to contribute more whole-heartedly to A Potpourri of Vestiges. While are currently not in a position to pay our contributors, we encourage young writers to write for us, perhaps as a means to hone their writing skills and also develop an understanding of cinema. We will be more than happy to give you acknowledge mails/certificates in case that's what you are looking for. The minimum number of original articles that you must contribute to A Potpourri of Vestiges in order to become eligible for the same is 12 over a period of 3 - 6 months. In the past we have had many young contributors who are doing really well in their respective fields.
Finally, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all our readers / contributors for their constant support. Without your faith in us we wouldn't have come this far.
