The much awaited teaser of Kalank is out. The film has been in news since it pairs Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt for the first time in over two decades. Written and Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank is essentially a tale of eternal love set in 1945, in Pre-Independence India. Kalank also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Looking at the resplendent trailer one senses a strong influence of two of India's most influential auteurs: Sanjay Leela Bhansali and S S Rajamouli.

It is really heartening to see Hindi cinema paying such great importance to creating beautiful and powerful images.
Co-produced by Fox Star Studios, Kalank is set to release on 17th April 2019.
