A Potpourri of Vestiges Feature
Recently, the makers of Kabir Singh announced their next collaboration, a stand-alone sequel to the 2007 blockbuster film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa. With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in making, the audiences got a treat as they released the poster with the lead actor, Kartik Aaryan, whose look took the internet by storm. Joining Kartik in this edge-of-the-seat horror comedy will be Kiara Advani.
Kiara who is riding high on the success of her recent hit, Kabir Singh, is excited about being a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Speaking about it, Kiara says, ”Bhool Bhulaiyaa was the first ever horror film that I watched. Being a huge fan of the first one, It’s super exciting to get the opportunity to be a part of the franchise. It’s my first time being directed by Anees sir and I’m looking forward to the experience, it’s being produced by the makers of my most special film so it feels like home working with Cine 1 & T-Series again. Kartik and I are working together for the first time, can’t wait to begin this journey so we can bring the film to you soon!"
Bhushan Kumar, who had first introduced the genre of comedy-psychological thriller to Bollywood with Bhool Bhulaiyaa, says, “We received a stupendous response to our sequel announcement and the audiences loved Kartik in the look. Kiara has proved her mettle with Kabir Singh and she fits the role to its T. We are glad she is a part of the project.”
Murad Khetani said, “Kiara and we shared great camaraderie during the shoot of Kabir Singh. She has proved her acting prowess and impressed the audience as Preeti. Kiara loved the script of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 we are all super excited on having her onboard again”
Director Anees Bazmee says, “I always look forward to working with Gen-Z actors, this is my first collaboration with Kartik and Kiara. I am sure they will bring new energy to the table, hoping to have a blast."
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and Cine 1 Studios. Directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, the film is written by Farhad Samji and Akash Kaushik. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is scheduled to hit the screens on July 31, 2020.
