Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have both tested positive for COVID-19. Bachchan Sr first broke the news about his condition via Twitter. He wrote, “I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !”
A few minutes ago, Bachchan Jr also broke the news about his as well as his father's condition. He wrote, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."
Earlier in the day, Abhishek had taken to Twitter to thank his fans for supporting his digital debut in the Amazon Prime Video psychological thriller series Breathe: Into the Shadows. It's really unfortunate that on the day when everybody was talking about Bachchan Jr's brilliance in the Amazon series, he has tested positive for COVID-19 along with his father.
