In the latest episode of the DD Morning Show Thursday Special, Film Critic Murtaza Ali Khan recommended 'Ranneeti,' 'Dil Dosti Dilemma,' 'Dead Boy Detectives,' 'Brigands: The Quest for Gold,' and 'Kashmir Ki Kali.'
The show, which airs on DD National and DD Bharati every Thursday Morning, is hosted by Satyapriya and Richa Jha. The production team is led by Pradeep Satija and Shrabani Dasgupta.
"Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond," which delves into the behind-the-scenes intricacies of India's largest defense operation. "Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond" is inspired by true events. It offers a gripping narrative that explores the 2019 Balakot operation and the subsequent efforts to retrieve the Group Captain. Directed by Santosh Singh and featuring a stellar cast including Jimmy Shergill, Lara Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana, the series promises an immersive experience unlike any other.
Dil Dosti Dilemma follows the 17 year old privileged Asmara who disowns her Naani due to their class differences in front of her friends. Her livid parents cancel her trip to Canada and send her to live with her Naani and Naana at humble Tibbri Road for the summer. Upset and ashamed by the turn of events she decides to lie to her friends about being in Canada for the summer, faking it all. But for how long can her lying continue?
Dead Boy Detectives follow Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, who decided not to enter the afterlife and stay on Earth and investigate crimes that involve the supernatural. They will do anything to stick together. They are joined by a psychic and her friend in the quest but for how long they can go on? The series based on the DC Comics characters of the same name and is a new addition to the Sandman Universe for Netflix.
Brigands will transport you back in time and take you to Southern Italy of the 19th century when the southern lands of Italy are bandit territory. A dutiful wife Filomena escapes her wealthy but sad life to lead a risky treasure hunt as the leader of a group of ruthless brigands. It's just the kind of swashbuckling adventure that you need to perfectly spend your weekend.
