The Cinema of Italy comprises the films made within Italy or by Italian directors. As of 2014, Italian films have won 14 Academy Awards for the Best Foreign Language Film, which is the most by any country, and 12 Palme d'Or Awards at Cannes--the second-most by any country. Some of the most notable Italian filmmakers include Roberto Rossellini, Vittorio De Sica, Federico Fellini, Luchino Visconti, Michelangelo Antonioni, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Sergio Leone, Gillo Pontecorvo, Bernardo Bertolucci, Ermanno Olmi, Giuseppe Tornatore, and Paolo Sorrentino.
